COVID-19: Changes to Orange and Yellow Levels (Feb. 26, 2021)

On the eve of March Break, the New Brunswick government is introducing changes to its Coronavirus Recovery Plan Orange and Yellow levels. These take effect on February 27th. Notable adjustments are permitting travel between Orange zones, as well as being allowed to include people in other Orange zones in your "Steady 10" contacts. However, most significantly, Public Health says if the situation in New Brunswick remains stable, all zones in the province will move to an updated Yellow status as of 11:59pm on Sunday, March 7th. Meantime, as of February 26th, the number of active cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick was down to 41, with one new case announced (in Zone 1) and nine more recoveries. To date, since the pandemic began, there have been 1,428 cases in New Brunswick, including 26 deaths. Currently, one COVID-19 patient is in hospital in intensive care.
