Thursday, August 13th

10am-3pm         Seniors Day @ Legion - Open to all seniors, soup & sandwiches, games and fun. (FREE)

10am-11am       Activities & Games @ Salisbury Public Library - Kids get active! (FREE)

2pm-4pm           4 on 4 Ball Hockey Tournament @ Basketball Court – Registration is $6/Team.  For more information call 372-0080.

4pm-6pm           3 on 3 Basketball Tournament @ Basketball Court – Registration is $6/Team.  For more information call 372-0080. 

5pm                    Remote Control Car Races @ Bike Park – Watch the web site for more information.

5pm                    BBQ Supper @ Salisbury Baptist Church - Enjoy hot dogs, hamburgers, and salads.

                             (Free Will Offering with Proceeds to Go to Building Repairs)     

7pm                    Country Bluegrass Gospel Concert @ Salisbury Baptist Church - Local talent will entertain.  (Free Will Offering with Proceeds to Go to Building Repairs)

Friday, August 14th

9am-2pm           Enter Exhibits-Salisbury Community Days Exhibit Show @ Fire Hall - Who has the

            cutest pet photo?  Who has the best flowers?  Who is the better cook?  Who is more crafty?  There is a category for everyone and children’s and senior’s sections.  Pick up your entry form at the Village Office or click on 'Exhibit Show'  (No entry fee)

10am-11am       Story Time @ Salisbury Public Library - Felt stories, Puppet Show, and Crafts. (FREE)

11am-3pm         Kids Day @ Boys & Girls Club - BBQ, Games, & Fun (FREE) There will be water games, so come prepared to get wet and dirty.  For information call 372-5873.  This is a joint effort of the Lions, Lioness, Pool Staff, and the Boys & Girls Club. 

11:30-12:30pm Al Bernard’s Magic Show @ Boys & Girls Club - Come to the Club and join Al Bernard for a magic show before lunch! (FREE)

3pm-5pm           Open Swim/Games @ Lions Club Pool

2pm                    Deadline for Poster Contest @ Fire Hall - Make a poster with this year’s theme.  You can draw, paint, or use pictures from a magazine.  Posters should be no smaller than 8½ x 11 and no larger than poster board.  Be sure to drop off your poster at the Exhibit Hall before 2pm for judging.  Entries will be displayed at the Exhibit Show.

4:30-6:30pm     Salisbury United Church Supper @ United Church - Home Baked Beans, Ham, Potato

            Salad, Rolls, and Dessert. ($10-Adult/$5-Age 10 and under) Eat In or Take Out.  Tickets available in advance or at the door.  Call Bev at 756-2615, Dave at 372-5922, or any member of the church.

6pm-9pm           Open Exhibits @ Fire Hall - Come see who won!! (FREE)           

6:30pm              Co-ed Softball Tournament @ Ball Field - For more information contact Blaine at 372-0080.

7pm-8pm           Lawn Tractor Races @ Soccer/Football Field - Come put your mower to the test and see

           who’s lawn tractor is the best!  Rules and regulations are available at the Village Office.  Please call or stop in at the Village Office to register. 

Saturday, August 15th

7am-10am         Lions Pancake Breakfast @ Lions Club - All you can eat pancakes and sausages.  Come get fuelled up for the day’s events.  ($5-Adults, $3-Children 6-10, Free-Preschool)

8am                     Yard Sale @ St. John’s Anglican Church - Church basement. Corner of Fredericton Rd & Kay St.

8:30-11:30am   Co-ed Softball Tournament @ Ball Fields - For more information contact Blaine at 372-0080.

                              - Please note, no vehicle traffic permitted between 11am and 1pm to allow for    the parade line up. -

9am-2pm           Yard Sale & BBQ @ Salisbury Masonic Lodge

9am-11am         Salisbury Community Days 1st Bike Rally @ Bike Park - Race information available at the Village Office or click on 'Bike Rally'.  Applications must be received by July 31st.

10am-4pm         Lego Sam’s Lego Train Show @ Upstairs at the Village Office - Come see Lego Sam’s

                             Lego Train Show. (FREE)

10am                  BBQ, Bake Sale, and Market* Come get some home baked goodies (All proceeds to go to the Salisbury and Area Youth Engagement Team)

           Food Stands Along Douglas Street - Local groups & organizations are welcome to run food stands as a fundraiser.

11am                  Parade Line up @ Elementary School Parking Lot - All entries wishing to be judged must register and be lined up before 11:00 am.

12pm                  Parade (Regular Parade Route) Please note, for safety reasons, through traffic on Main Street and River Road will be stopped for the length of the parade. (Rain or Shine) - Parade Organizers request that candy NOT be thrown from floats, in order to avoid possible injury to children that are gathering goodies.  Individuals may walk beside the float and hand out treats.  The committee encourages musical entrants.

1pm-1:30pm     Bike Demo @ Bike Park

1:30-4:30pm     Salisbury Community Days 1st Bike Rally @ Bike Park - Race information available at the Village Office or click on 'Bike Rally'.  Applications must be received by July 31st.

           Pony Rides* Runnin’ on Farms will have pony rides $2/5 min. All money raised goes to the horse rescue.            

           RCMP Crime Prevention Presentations and General Information* Come see the roll over simulator!

1:30-2pm           Taekwondo Demo* All belt levels demonstrating all aspects of Taekwondo including board breaking, weapons, and self defence.

2pm                    Chili Challenge* St. John Ambulance - Who will earn the bragging rights for the best chili in the coming year?  Entry fee for individuals, is free, Team Challenge is $5.  Rules available at the Village Office.

2pm                    Skateboard Contest @ Skateboard Park - For more information call 372-0080 ($2 entry fee)    

2pm-2:30pm     Shizen Den Ryu Ninjutsu Demo* Unarmed Defence Demo.

3pm                    Washer Toss Tournament* Teams of two; must have one adult.  Rules are available at the Village Office.  Please call or stop in at the Village Office to register.

4pm-6pm           Talent Show @ To Be Announced - Come show off your talent. (lip syncing, battle of the bands, or individual talents)  For more information contact Blaine at 372-0080.  (DONATION - Proceeds toward the Salisbury & Area Youth Engagement Team)

6pm                    Family Movie Night @ Salisbury Baptist Church - Come enjoy a family movie. (FREE)

                              - There will be a canteen available for refreshments - (HOTEL FOR DOGS-G)              

Sunday, August 16th

9am-6pm           Horse Show - The Annual Salisbury Horse Show will be held at Golden Reins Equestrian Centre (across the bridge in Salisbury) There will be lots of excitement and entertainment as you watch riders of all ages put their horses in all sorts of different games.  A canteen will be provided and all proceeds for the day will be going towards the new Salisbury 4H program for kids.  Why not bring a chair and watch the fun!  Hope to see lots of people out for a fun family outing.

9:30am               Teen Challenge Comes to Salisbury @ Salisbury Baptist Church - Something to really celebrate, young men and teens share their true stories of victory over drugs.

10am                  Co-ed Softball Tournament @ Ball fields - Finals - Depending on the number of teams entered.  For more information contact Blaine at 372-0080.

Noon                  Gospel Music, Awards, & BBQ Picnic @ Highland Park - Come and enjoy music, food, and fun at our beautiful Village park.  Entrance off Highland Drive/Gordon Street/Chad Crescent. (FREE)(Sound by SSI Audio)  Event to take place at the Municipal Building if weather does not co-operate!      

 

**********   PLEASE NOTE   ***********

All events followed by * will take place near the Salisbury Municipal Building, 56 Douglas Street.  THERE WILL BE NO PARKING/NO THROUGH TRAFFIC ON DOUGLAS ST. FROM 1PM-5PM.   After 1pm, there will be FREE parking at the Salisbury Elementary School.  Saturday afternoon’s event schedule is based upon the parade finishing at 1pm.  Because of this, times are subject to change according to the length of the parade.
